Mahal has playing on the Asian and Australasian Tour in 2005, 2006, 2007 and now in 2008.

Credits to his name, including winning the 2003 New Zealand Open and significant placings in the New Caledonian, Singapore, Heineken Classic and Jacobs Creek Opens have seen him dubbed as "the man with the million dollar swing".
