Mahal finishes 24th at the Australian PGA - 14/12/2009

Mahal was the leading Kiwi going into the weekend at the JBWere Masters after rounds of 71 and 68. A tough day Saturday shooting 77 and not seeing anything click click until the 18th Sunday with a brilliant birdie to finish Mahal ended with a 79 and in 68th spot.

The NSW PGA was the next event and with rounds of 68, 66, 67 and 75 ended up in 36th spot. Mahal then flew back to NZ missing the Australian Open to be his wife and the kids during a very tough time with the passing of his mother in law.

It was great to see Taj back in Coolum to play in the Australian PGA.  Mahal had great week with rounds of 73, 70, 69 and 70 to finish in 24th spot and secure a top 50 finish on the Australian PGA Tour Order of Merit and secure full playing rights for the 2010 season.
